Explore Our Club

On an annual basis, our club consists of about 25 to 30 members who are proficient in one of their professional field. This works out to be best in serving the communities in the areas of Education, Finance, Building, plumbing, Electrical, civil, and IT Industries.

Club annually choose a President, President Elect, and Directors of the five committees, a Welfare officer and a Historian among other regular job assignments.

Frankton Te Rapa Club was formed after the merger of the two clubs; Frankton and Te Rapa. This merger made our club to be one of the oldest Rotary Clubs not just in Hamilton but also in our district.

Club meets every Tuesday evening of the week at 5:30pm for fellowship for 6:00pm formal start. The meeting starts with Welcome of new members, guests, apologies and few brief notices. All attendees are then invited to proper two course dinner. This offers another avenue for attendees to mingle and exchange their ideas for service projects and their personal matters forming closer relationship with one another.

The formal Sargent Session starts immediately after the dinner. This a fun-filled session where the Sargent attempts to find out from the members their special events of the week, happy or otherwise and share them in a manner that calls for putting a token amount of their liking into the donation box. These donations are deposits into Club’s Trust Account that is finally used for community support and funding needs.

Other structured program include:

  • A talk by invited Guest Speaker,
  • A Q&A session,
  • Thanking note with gift to the speaker with photo opportunity,
  • A 2-Minutes talk by a chosen club member,
  • An update of Rotary Foundation by the director of the Rotary Foundation Committee,
  • A quick Parting Thought

Meeting then ends with “Honouring our National Flag”
